Let's Make Onigiri!- Delicious and Kawaii Japanese Rice Balls
In this class, students learn about Japanese rice and how to cook traditional and kawaii (cute) onigiri (rice balls), a popular and healthy Japanese comfort food, using ingredients from your local supermarket. This class introduces Japanese cooking, culture and nutrition information.

Do you want to learn how to make creative onigiri? Join us for delicious onigiri making session -- Japanese rice balls. Traditional nori-wrapped onigiri Rice balls stuffed with a delicious tuna filling Cute character onigiri We will also demonstrate how to make the yummy Japanese rice sprinkles called furikake, made with roasted nori, sesame seeds and seasonings. Furikake can add some delicious flavors to your rice and onigiri! Have fun as we show you how to Shake! Shake! Shake! and shape the perfect rice ball with 2 bowls. Works like magic! Our class includes a10 minute fun, engaging presentation on rice, the primary staple food of the Japanese food culture, with a nutrition component. After the presentation students cook along with the sensei (teacher).

Parental Guidance
Our instructor will demonstrate how to make a dish during the class and students can try doing the recipe along with the instructor, with appropriate supervision if necessary. We will provide recipes and ingredient options. If cooking with a stove is required, students with adult supervision can complete the cooking either during the class or after the class has ended.
