Beginner Level
Come join us as we create a delicious Nutella French Toast Casserole with or without fruit. (Strawberries and/or Bananas). This class will meet one time for 45 minutes. Students will finish their casserole and serve when class is over. I make this recipe for my family every Valentine's Day on request. It is quick, easy, has minimal ingredients, and is absolutely delicious.

Teacher will give out a handout with directions and ingredients a week before class begins. You can purchase the ingredients ahead of time if needed.

Warning: Please review each recipe in detail. Possible allergens include: milk, nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, or soy. Alternative recipes or ideas can be provided if you contact the instructor ahead of time. Please give at least three days notice. You can also tailor your recipe to your own tastes. Students will be working with stovetop, oven, knives and kitchen equipment. Please make sure your learner knows how to use their kitchen appliances and knives safely. I have no problem with parents/guardians baking with their students. I prefer an adult in the house when we cook just in case of emergencies.

My teaching experience is varied. I grew up with a family that ran two restaurants, so food preparation just is part of my identity, it is something I love. I am also a professor, attorney, high school instructor and mother of seven. I have taught everything from pre-k to Graduate School and have both homeschooled/unschooled and chosen traditional routes for my children. I currently teach AP History courses and coach Speech and Debate. I take students and their families overseas for culture excursion tours and have enjoyed cooking classes around the world. I have decided to teach this class simply for my love of baking and sitting with friends and family while having a delicious meal.
