Students will develop their knowledge of the alphabet, animals, and emotions using music. They will have the chance to work on their singing, dancing, and instrument skills while strengthening their ability to express themselves using music and performing in front of others. They might also learn new songs and have the chance to make new friends from around the globe!
As a baby, preschool, and elementary theatre and music teacher, I have worked with students ages 5 months to 12 years in this format. I believe that using music in different ways allows students to discover new ways to be creative, while challenging them to explore the alphabet, emotions, and other nursery education keeps their brains sharp. I'm so eager to bring this particular class option to students as it lets them develop a relationship with other students all over the world!
There is no homework for this class, but I do encourage you to take a look at the schedule to make sure that you know what "instrument" is needed each week!
Please check the schedule to see what household item will be used as our "instrument." If you do not have the suggested item, don't fret! Feel free to bring any sort of substitute, but also know that I will offer alternatives using our bodies each week (i.e. clapping instead of using pencils to tap together).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
