INGREDIENTS: - melting chocolate make-your-own- almond bark Amazon or Walmart, Aldi's or any kind of melting chocolate (melting chocolate wafers) as packaged. (***bakers chocolate or chocolate chips don't work as well!***) - mini marshmallows - I use Jet Puff but any kind can work, Amazon or Walmart - sprinkles, peppermint, chocolate chips or any decorating edibles you want for toppings! - hot cocoa mix (optional, 1.5 tsp per hot cocoa bomb) can add if you would like MATERIALS (required unless otherwise indicated): - silicone sphere mold, ~2.5inch diameter or at Michael's or Hobby Lobby (**required**, other shape flexible silicone molds could work but know this will be trickier for your learner to work with. For best results, use the sphere shaped mold - I would love for your learner to be successful so please message me if you are unsure!) options below: - microwave safe measuring cup or bowl - silicone pastry brush or spoon - microwave safe plate (or candle warmer or griddle) - measuring spoon (to measure hot cocoa mix!) - mini muffin/muffin tin (optional) or any surface that will let you set the hot cocoa shells to cool and decorate - candy piping bags or any ziploc bag for drizzling (optional) (https://amzn.to/34r4OH5) - muffin/cupcake liners (optional) for packaging - scissors (optional) to cut the end of the piping bag for decorating
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be using a microwave for this class. Grownups are advised to be nearby if your learner requires support in the use of a microwave as containers may be hot. We will be using regular melting milk chocolate for this class. Learners may use melting chocolate that is safe for their personal use. It is recommended for families to check the packaging ingredients if there are any nut/dairy allergies and dietary restrictions for your learner.
