Description
Class Experience
1-2 packets of unflavored gelatin (2 packets will create a firmer soap) Unflavored gelatin: https://amzn.to/3webAw4 vegan friendly: https://amzn.to/3bNmOOF Liquid hand soap or shower gel (Creates the "soap" part of the jelly soap and will provide the scent and the color as well) Students will also need some type of container to act as the soap mold. This can be a simple ice cube tray, mason jar, cupcake pan, etc. *These supplies are completely optional and are only necessary if further soap customization is desired: -cosmetic grade glitter -essential oils or soap fragrance (if using unscented liquid soap) -food coloring (to color clear liquid soap)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may want to assist when heating and handling hot water. Additionally, gummy soaps should be stored in an air-tight container or zip top bag out of reach of smaller children as they are not edible.
