Class Experience

Hello! I am a professional Biscotti baker. I run a small business from home and I sell and ship my biscotti locally and nationally. In this class, I will teach my students how to make the same exact biscottis that I make and sell in my shop. This will be a 2-day class, in day one we will take up the entire hour and a half. In day two, we will just be decorating our biscotti. I will be available the entire class time until my last student logs off. I am happy to stay the entire 90 minutes to help, chit chat and answer any questions or comments. The second class is a great time for discussion.

My teaching style is learning through socializing . We will be talking and my classroom will be a space for any opinions or comments students may have. On the other hand, if you do not feel like socializing, I will not put any pressure on you at all. You may just follow my directions, learn how to make the biscotti and thats it.

These biscotti are not too sweet, they are the perfect balance in sweetness. They make great gifts once they are decorated and they can be saved in the freezer for up to 3 months and they will still be good. They last on the counter top for about 10 days and 3 weeks in the fridge.

You do not need any previous experience to take this class. Anyone can make them as long as you're paying attention.
we will be using the oven, a sharp knife and measuring tools. Almonds and pistachios are optional. You may use any nut that you prefer or you may omit it completely.
In this class ,we will make cranberry pistachio biscotti.
I plan to offer a class where we will make double chocolate chip biscotti.
ALLERGY NOTE:
The recipe we use does include Nuts (pistachio) and Eggs- please be advised if your student has any allergies.
You may try using an egg substitute at your own risk. Nuts may be omitted completely .

milk/dark chocolate chips
white chocolate chips
Toppings: sprinkles, crushed or sliced almonds, crushed pistachio, coconut flakes. (any toppings you prefer will work)
We will also need a small ziplock bag or a piping bag and parchment paper to use when coating our biscotti, so it doesn't stick. Plastic wrap also works when put neatly on a flat surface.
