We will practice our social skills during this ongoing class. The kids will learn how to take turns, ask questions and communicate with others. The students can lead the discussions if they wish. Other times, I will help the kids talk by using discussion prompts listed below. They also can show some of their favorite things. We will play games such as 20 questions and charades. We will share items such as toys or books. This class is also great for shy children. I will make sure everyone is getting time to talk to each other. Join us as we meet new friends and build life long social skills. Topics: April 21: Favorite Things April 28: Books May 5: NO CLASS* May 12: Animals May 19: Colors

Hi! My name is Jessica Figueroa, or Teacher Jessica! I have a double Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Liberty University. I also have my TESOL certification. I have taught preschool/young elementary age children for over ten years. I have taught online ESL since July 2019. I homeschool two of my children, both in early elementary grades.
I love to teach preschool and elementary aged children. There is never a dull moment with this age group! My teaching style is a unit-study type approach. I love teaching different themes and incorporating all subjects in the theme such as math, science and reading!
My husband is in the military, so we move quite often. My favorite hobby is traveling. My husband's career has allowed us to travel around the world! I also love all things princesses and Disney! :)
I hope to see your student in my classroom soon! :)
