Class 1: Beauty and Beast: Grey Stuff ( Week of Sept 5th ) Grey stuff supplies: 1 1/2 cups milk, 3.4 oz. instant vanilla pudding mix, 15 cookies and cream sandwich cookies, 8 oz. whipped topping, 1 Tbsp. instant chocolate pudding mix, optional: sprinkles Sugar cookie supplies: 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon baking powder, 1 cup butter, softened, 1 ½ cups white sugar , 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Class 2: Snow White: Candy Apples ( Week of Sept 12th ) 4 honey crisp apples, stems removed, 1 ½ cups sugar, ½ cup water, ¼ cup light corn syrup, 6 drops red food coloring, 8 oz neon green candy melts, 1 teaspoon canola oil, squeeze bottle, candy sticks Class 3: Monsters Inc: Yellow Snow Cones ( Week of Sept 19th ) 1 cup lemon juice (6 lemons), 2 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons corn syrup, ¼ cup water, yellow food coloring, ice, blender, funnel, optional: snow cone cup Class 4: Ralph breaks the internet: pancake milkshake ( Week of Sept 26th) TBA
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental Guidance is required for the use of kitchen materials. Parents will also need to help students prepare and gather materials for experiments. Parents will need to remain off-camera but help during class as needed.
