They allow for a lot of flexibility in technique and style, which allows artists to express themselves in a wide variety of ways. Students will be taught a few different ways to create art using watercolor pencils as the medium of their choice.
Art is a lifelong passion, and my journey with art started in middle school. I have worked in many different media, but my favorites are sketching, drawing, and photography. I’ve been keeping sketchbooks for nearly 20 years, and they’ve helped me document my journey with art, as well as important milestones in my life. I want to help learners find their artistic passion and help them do the same.
Learners will need the following materials for this class: - A pencil - Watercolor paper (thick, normally textured paper that can be found in most stores with art supplies) - Watercolor pencils (able to be purchased in a kit on Amazon or at a crafts store) - A jar or coffee mug with water - An assortment of small (1" or less) paintbrushes
