Description
Class Experience
Watercolors are some of the most beautiful and interesting paints around. They allow for a lot of flexibility in technique and style, which allows artists to express themselves in a wide variety of ways. Did you know that you can buy colored pencils that allow you to paint with watercolors easily? In this class, we'll be exploring watercolor painting using watercolor pencils, and looking at a few different ways to use this medium. When students enroll in this class, they will be introduced...
Students will be taught a few different ways to create art using watercolor pencils as the medium of their choice.
Art is a lifelong passion, and my journey with art started in middle school. I have worked in many different media, but my favorites are sketching, drawing, and photography. I’ve been keeping sketchbooks for nearly 20 years, and they’ve helped me document my journey with art, as well as important milestones in my life. I want to help learners find their artistic passion and help them do the same.
Learners will need the following materials for this class: - A pencil - A waterproof marker (a permanent sharpie will work) - Watercolor paper (thick, normally textured paper that can be found in most stores) - Watercolor pencils (able to be purchased in a kit on Amazon or at a crafts store) - A jar or coffee mug with water - An assortment of small (1" or less) paintbrushes
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
