Description

Class Experience

Have you ever wanted to be part of your favorite cartoon? In this class, you can be! Each week we'll be learning a different art style, and a different way to "cartoonify" yourself. In every class, we'll do the following:

- Look over different characters and the overall art style
- Learn how to frame yourself as a character
- Discuss inking and coloring
- Receive feedback on our drawings and how to improve them to match the intended art style

Learners don't need to have extensive art skills...

Students will learn how to identify different illustration and animation styles, then draw themselves in that style.

Art is a lifelong passion, and my journey with art started in middle school. I have worked in many different media, but my favorites are sketching, drawing, and photography. I’ve been keeping sketchbooks for nearly 20 years, and they’ve helped me document my journey with art, as well as important milestones in my life. I want to help learners find their artistic passion and help them do the same.

Learners will need the following supplies to participate in class:

- A pencil
- An eraser
- Coloring supplies (colored pencils, markers, etc.)
- A black pen or microliner

No paint in this class, please.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
