Let’s Make a Song! - A Songwriting Circle (Semi-Private)
In this one-time course for students ages 4 - 7, I will bring my guitar and we will collaborate as a small group (1-3 students) to write our own song. Students will help to write the lyrics and determine the tempo. Silliness and fun are welcome!

Description
Class Experience
Students will contribute to writing their own song, and most importantly work to build their confidence, learn to take turns and listen to others, and have a chance to express their own ideas.
I have been writing my own songs on the guitar for over fifteen years, and currently record music as a singer-songwriter under the alias Folklaur. Most importantly, I have a love for children and teaching. I have experience working at a bilingual preschool in France, as well as multiple summers as a summer camp program director where I led daily singalongs on the guitar for young children.
After class, an mp3 file will be uploaded to the classroom as well as a sheet with our lyrics and the chords, so that students (and their grown-ups!) can sing along or practice on their own.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
