Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, My name is Marlena and I LOVE teaching and LOVE kids!
I’ve been working with kids for over 20 years in professional and non-professional settings from parenting my own children to working as a para-professional for pre-K and elementary school students. I am passionate about teaching and educating students through making learning fun. My latest classroom experience is with autistic students and I would like to offer classes that they could participate in. I have learned many techniques to help keep them focused and engaged.
I want to teach learning through stories, content, student sharing, and questioning. I am passionate about reading and want to share this love with my students. I also would like to teach other elementary school topics related to the standards.
I live in Florida with my husband and kids. We love to travel and plan fun family adventures together. I'm very excited to begin teaching on the Outschool platform.
