In this 1-hour class, we will learn about Scratch and create a race animation using sprites, backgrounds, speech bubbles, movement, and a simple sensor.

Description

Class Experience

Students will learn about the Scratch interface, sprites (characters and objects), backgrounds, and basic code blocks, as well as logical thinking and debugging techniques. Students will use their creativity to make a fun race.
This class will not have homework, but students may want to add to their projects after the class is over.
Students will need a Scratch account for this class. If you don't already have a Scratch account, please create one prior to the start of this class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
