During this class we will create a cute craft for a family member. The student will cut, color, and write in order to make a beautiful flower pot. 1. We will introduce ourselves (if the student is comfortable doing so) 2. We will have a short discussion about people in our family we love. We will discuss why we love these people in our family. 3. We will write a sentence (or draw a picture) about why we love that individual. 4. We will color, cut, and glue the craft together. 5. We will create a Personalized Flower Pot. 6. If time allows we will share our craft.
Learning Goals
The student will be able to write one complete sentence, practice fine motor skills (coloring and cutting), and interact with other children in their age group. If the child cannot write a sentence independently I recommend a parents sits with them during this section of the class. The student may also have the option to draw a picture instead.
