We will be learning how to make a simple ornament that will be a beautiful addition to your Christmas tree. These ornaments are a little tricky at first but they are very simple to make once you get the hang of it. All you will need is two Christmas colors of yarn, two popsicle sticks, and a pair of scissors. I will walk students through the process step by step. Students will participate in a guided Christmas discussion that will be going on throughout the class. I will ask fun questions to guide the discussion. I know that all kids work at their own pace so this will keep students from being bored if they are ready to move on before the rest of the class is. If students need more time they are always welcome to finish after class and watch the video to help them. Questions may include: What is your favorite Christmas treat? What is the best Christmas present you ever got? What is the best Christmas present you ever gave to someone else? What is your favorite Christmas movie? Like all of my classes, this is an inclusive class, which means that students of all abilities are welcome, if your student needs any accommodations please let me know and we will work together to ensure they have the best experience possible.

Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Gabrielle, I started teaching sewing lessons when I was a homeschool senior. I taught classes at a local home school group and discovered I had a passion for teaching. When I was 19 I discovered I was most likely autistic and was able to get an official diagnosis at 21. For me, this was a revelation and explained so much. It meant I was able to seek out others like me and was a huge game-changer for me.
For over 10 years now I have been teaching in different capacities and working with children with different disabilities and differences. I have been an in-home caregiver for a physically disabled child, a preschool teacher, a teacher's aid, a tutor and have been teaching online since January 2020. I also have an Associates' degree in special education.
I am proud to be autistic. This doesn't mean I don't have struggles but I firmly believe that we all have strengths and weaknesses. I strive to give all of my students a safe and welcoming place. All of my classes are inclusive which means students of all abilities are welcome. If your student needs any accommodations please let me know and we will work together to ensure the best possible class experience.
