Description

Class Experience

A one day camp style course where we build a business from scratch! Since it's summer we'll start with a summer time favorite- ice cream trucks!

Each learner will get to design their own ice cream truck and ice cream offerings.
From there, we'll learn about:
-value proposition -- what makes our business special?
-variable costs -- how much it will cost to make our ice cream.
-fixed costs -- how much will it cost to buy and maintain our truck.
-revenues -- how many ice cream cones will we...

Students will learn business basics in a fun, engaging, hands on session. Each student will have a take home poster with key vocabulary and definitions to serve as a reminder of business fundamentals.

No homework required- just come ready and eager to engage!

Please bring a poster board (any size will do a foam board is recommended so students can easily show off their plans to the class), different colored construction paper, child safe scissors, and a glue stick or tape. Please also give your learner something to write and decorate with including crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. 

Please do not bring paint, liquid glue, or glitter. While these are some of my favorites-- they can get quite distracting given the quick pace of this class!

Assessment is available on a learner by learner basis, if requested

2 hours 55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
