*For this one-time class students should to be able to write words with simple blends, digraphs and trigraphs such as plan, wait, catch.* We will begin by looking at what is meant by suffixes. We will look at vowels, consonants and syllables before looking at the rules for adding 'ed' and 'ing'. We will then practise using these rules together by writing a variety of words. They will then look at pictures and write independently. Students will also write sentences to practise using...
Students will learn what a suffix is and how to add 'ed' and 'ing' to write words ending with these suffixes.
Paper and pencil or whiteboard and marker for the children to write and show their work.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
