Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
In this 4-week class, students will build and improve their individual writing skills while having fun with start and stop music. Small class sizes are intentional to promote individualized attention and support.

Students will be introduced to fine motor exercises to help build hand strength, various prewriting strokes, and will progress weekly to independently write shapes and letters.

Each week will start with an introduction and hand exercises to warm up our muscles, and practice our grasp with our dry erase marker. We will have fun and use music to start and stop, similar to the concept of "Red Light, Green Light".

I love helping children make connections to focus concepts and the world around them. I have an upbeat teaching style and like to help build self confidence in my students! We all perform better when we feel good about ourselves!
If you have a specific request, please reach out with any questions. I look forward to working and learning with you!
Learning Goals
Students will learn basic pre-writing strokes each class. The pre-writing exercises will help build fine motor muscles and eye-hand coordination. Beginning with learning very basic strokes and combining the strokes to drawing shapes and create letters. Students will improve their overall writing skills and build confidence with letter formation.
