Description

Class Experience

Students will work on reading and writing the pre-kindergarten Dolch sight words. We will also work on sounding out words in a sentence, counting the number of words in a sentence, and discussing punctuation marks.
I am a licensed teacher with a Master's degree in Literacy.
Practice reading, writing, and looking for the sight words outside of class is encouraged, but not required.
-handouts each week will be sent to enrolled students to print and bring to class (let me know if there are problems with printing before class) **Each week, I will send the list of supplies/materials that we will be using for our activities and games that week. Here are some of the supplies we will be using: -playdough (any color) -toothpick or wooden skewer or pencil -crayons/markers -pencil -plastic container with the bottom covered in salt or pepper or glitter -Cheerio's, coins, or something to mark off bingo boards with (anything small that will fit on a Bingo board for the classes we play Bingo) -paper -scissors -paper clip -chalk (If you don't have chalk, it's fine! Students will be shown different ways to practice sight words.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parent support may be needed for students with letter formation and some of the games.
