Week of April 15- Reading Comprehension- We will learn the elements of plot. Week of April 22- Writing- We will write descriptive paragraphs. Week of April 29- Reading - We will read and analyze a fictional narrative text with a focus on character traits. Week of May 6- Paragraph Writing- We will write a persuasive paragraph. Week of May 13- Poetry- We will learn about counting syllables, and we will write haikus. Week of May 20- Reading- We will examine authors' purpose (entertain). Week of May 27- Writing- We will write procedural paragraphs. Week of June 3- Reading- We will do a close read of a fiction text. Week of June 10- Writing- We will write a persuasive paragraph.
