I have a B.A. in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading Instruction and English/Language Arts. I tutor students with Dyslexia as well as being a mom to students with Dyslexia. Reading instruction has been my passion for 20+ years.
Students can practice tracing and saying the letter sounds at home with activities such as drawing with sidewalk chalk and playing hopscotch, tracing letters in sand, etc. Each week there is a reader and craft provided for the student to download for further practice.
Downloads will be provided each week to enhance the online learning experience. Students may find it helpful to have a small dry erase board or chalkboard to draw on in class.
Weekly review of previous letters will provide an informal assessment of how the student is progressing.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
