This is a shortened camp of my regular 5 day States & Capitals class. This is a fun & accelerated way to learn the states and capitals of the United States of America. In each lesson we will learn the States, the capital of each state, where they are on the map and fun facts about each state. Students will learn about geography, landmarks, wildlife, and the agriculture of each state. At the end of the lesson, we’ll have a fun review game to see what we learned and where the states are on the map. Students will be asked to find one interesting fact about each region or of a state of their choosing. We will also be reviewing and labeling a map that shows what states are in each region. This is designed to be an interactive class where students can share which state they live in, what states they have visited and where they have family. Short videos (including an approximately 4 minute video on the states) and games will be included to help reinforce what they are learning about each state. I have also created Learning Boom cards to help students practice what they learned for each day. The link with their username and password will be sent after the first class via Outschool message. Day 1: Northeast Region & Southeast Region Day 2: Midwest Region & Southwest Region Day 3: West Region & Review **Please note that I will wait in class for 10 minutes, if no students arrive class will be ended. **Please note that class may either run a few minutes over or end no sooner than 5 minutes early depending on your students participation.

I believe there is a lot of important and fun facts to learn about the United States. The different regions have an interesting and important history of their own and offer amazing facts on their landscape and culture. I have traveled through a lot of the U.S and have been able to experience some of what this country has to offer and I have a strong desire to see more of it. I am offering this class to share my knowledge and excitement to see other parts of the country and to allow learners from different backgrounds to discuss what they love about the United States of America.Reviews
