This 1:1 Spanish language class is for children ages 3 to 5. This class builds vocabulary, grammar, writing & listening skills without the need to have any previous knowledge. Children will learn Spanish by playing games and taking part in activities. Classes will be interactive and fun to capture students' interest in learning Spanish and keep them motivated throughout the lessons. I provide personalised help and guidance with the aim that each learner present will not only have the ability to learn the target vocabulary but also have the ability to reproduce a variety of short sentences in Spanish. With the utilization of pictures, props, free- talk and activities/games these will all facilitate your child having fun while at the same time learning a foreign language. *The time slots offered can be altered. Please message me directly to arrange the time that fits your schedule and I will check my availability* I offer various curriculums that you can choose from. If your child is interested in a specific topic, or you would like the focus to be on reading/listening/speaking/grammar, I will gladly accommodate your child's needs. Some of the topics covered for beginners: Greetings Emotions Alphabet in a four-part series Numbers and Shapes Fruits and Colors Body Family, Home and Pets Days of the Week, Months and Seasons Farm Animals Zoo Animals In the Kitchen Clothes My Street and Transportation Some of the games we will play: - picture dictionary - Simon says - matchup - word-choice - word search - word scramble - spelling bee - question time - trace the letters Some of the songs we will sing in Spanish: - Finger Family - ABC Throughout the course, we will focus on: - Warm-up questions - Keywords - Readings/storylines - Dialogues/discussions - Pronunciation practice - Writing and Speaking - Grammar and sentence structure - Review Parents are welcome to message me about their child's interests so that I could tailor the curriculum to their child's needs for 1:1 private lessons. These classes can also be just free-talk/conversational classes, learners are welcome to suggest topics. There will be the use of props/flashcards and other visual aids. I also use TPR (total physical response) throughout my lesson to help give clear instructions. There will be a mixture of error correction, depending on the learner's understanding and abilities and to try to avoid unnecessary interruption if the learner is expressing themself (when appropriate it will be instant). Mistakes will happen and they are a part of learning, encourage your child to not be shy and continue practising.
Learning Goals
To encourage speaking opportunities and improve communication skills by boosting students' confidence so that they can eventually speak independently.

Please take a few minutes to watch the following video on how your learner can draw on the screen while we are in class.
This is an important feature to know, so that class for your learner can be more interactive and fun!
Simply click on the following:

All students will be muted when needed, to minimize background noise. Please ensure to spend some time with your learner, teaching them the mute and unmute features as I am unable to unmute them. Or I ask that you sit with your learner in order to provide that support. I want to make sure every learner gets a chance to speak and ask questions when it is their turn.
