In this one-time class, students will learn the basic skills to read rhythms on sheet music. We will explore rhythmic patterns, practice clapping and counting, and develop a solid foundation for reading musical notation.

In this class, students will learn concepts that are necessary for understanding the rhythmic part of music notation, including measures, bar lines, time signatures, and the following note durations: whole, half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth in regular and dotted form, as well as triplets.
I began studying percussion at the age of 9. I graduated with a degree in music from Berklee College of Music in 2002. I have more than 20 years of experience performing and teaching music.
