✨Welcome to Let’s Learn Piano! - An Introduction to Beginning Piano Lessons!✨ ❓Is your student interested in learning the piano but not sure where to start? This one-time course is a great way for your student explore the basics of the piano and get a feel for piano lessons before committing to weekly lessons. By the end of the class, they’ll even be able to play their first song! -------------------------------------------------------- T E A C H E R Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S ♪ Bachelor of Music from University of Southern California ♪ Master of Arts in Teaching from University of Southern California ♪ Former K-8 Classroom Music Educator ♪ 12+ years of experience as a private piano instructor ♪ 5+ years of experience as an elementary and middle school music teacher ♪ 2+ years teaching online T O P I C S C O V E R E D ♪ The history of the piano and how it works ♪ Sound exploration (high/low, soft/loud) ♪ Basic piano technique ♪ Repertoire: “Hot Cross Buns” ------------------------------------------------------- 🎵 P L E A S E N O T E… After you enroll, you will receive a message with attached PDF files. Please have these printed for your learner prior to the class. Students will also need a keyboard or piano with a bench or suitable chair. Please have the camera set up to show both the learner and the keys. While this class is taught in a group format, each student will have the opportunity to ask questions and demonstrate their understanding of the information presented. My goal is for each student to come away from this class feeling confident in what they have learned, and excited to learn more about the piano. Please feel free to message me with any questions. I am so excited to help your learner get started on their musical journey!
Learning Goals
Students will learn be able to name the parts of the piano and describe how it works. Students will demonstrate the proper posture and hand shape and be able to identify finger numbers. Students will be able to play "Hot Cross Buns" on the piano.

I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching Music from the University of Southern California and have over ten years of experience teaching both privately and in the public school system. I believe that everyone is musical and that learning music should be fun! My goal is for all students who take lessons from me gain a well-rounded musical education, as well as a love of music that will last a lifetime.
