In this class, learners will enjoy a fantastic autumn sounds phonics game where children will have to use their listening skills to identify sounds in the environment. Level/phase 1 phonics is usually introduced in nursery / pre-school but the skills will carry through the first few years of school. I am a Qualified Primary Teacher from England with over 20 years of experience teaching phonics, reading and literacy to children aged 4 to 7 years. I have been a Nursery Assistant, Classroom Teacher, Online Tutor and a mentor to work-experience students, new Teachers and Teaching Assistants. I am a successful coach, helping people become online ESL teachers, sharing my wealth of knowledge, and sharing my top tips. I also have experience of teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to learners online. I have experience in being a Mum and teaching my own children to read. I understand that all children learn differently, and I love to get to know my learners likes and dislikes and plan lessons that thoroughly engage them. I am patient and kind and make all my lessons fun and interactive.
Pencils/crayons/markers OR bingo dappers OR paint OR pom-poms to decorate the learners autumn 'do a dot' activity (see attachment upon enrolment) Optional: The learners can show autumn / fall objects – if they want, or a toy e.g. a cuddly squirrel toy or similar, if discussing autumn. I will supply all activity sheets and supporting material needed for the class (please see attachments) and these will be made by me or Twinkl.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
