In this class learners will learn letter sounds a fun and engaging way. We will in part use the Lively Letters program, a researched based program designed to teach letter sounds.

Welcome to Let's Learn Our Letter Sounds a Preschool Class! During our time together we will be using parts of the Lively Letters© ( 2001, 2007, 2020) to guide our instruction. Miss Katelynn has been trained and given permission from it’s creators to use this program with you. Lively Letters is a research based, multisensory mnemonic letter card program that develops phonemic awareness, phonics, speech production, reading and spelling. Students will learn the letter names and sounds for all 26 letters.
Miss Katelynn has been a teacher for the past seven years. For the past two years she has been working as a special education teacher for students in kindergarten through third grade. Miss Katelynn has been trained to use the Lively Letters program by its creators Nancy Telian and Penny Castagnozzi. She loves to teach and share her passion for learning with her students. It is Miss Katelynn's goal to show her students that they can be successful in the classroom and help them gain the confidence they need to do so!

Learners will be assessed informally by noting any strengths and struggles with particular sounds. If there are struggles then we will reinforce that sound or sounds.
