In this ongoing program, learners will develop their maths skills. This course is part of a six year primary maths course that takes a problem-solving approach to teaching young learners the skills they need to become confident mathematicians. This course contains a greater focus on the use of manipulatives in the classroom, pictorial and abstract representations to promote deeper learning, language support to help EAL students develop fluency in mathematical language. Week of 24/6/24 - Role of mathematics Week of 1/7/24 - Importance of math in analysing sports Week of 8/7/24 - Basic mathematical concepts Week of 15/7/24 - Exploration of techniques Week of 22/7/24 - Averages and percentages Week of 29/7/24 - Sports data analysis project Week of 5/8/24 - Measurement and Geometry in Sports Week of 12/8/24 - Physics and Kinematics in Sports Week of 19/8/24 - Biomechanics and Sports Performance Week of 26/8/24 - Sports Strategy and Game Theory Week of 2/9/24 - Sports Analytics and Performance Metrics Week of 9/9/24 - Mathematical Models in Sports Prediction Further classes will be added.
