In this ongoing course, learners will develop their maths skills. This course is part of a six year primary maths course that takes a problem-solving approach to teaching young learners the skills they need to become confident mathematicians. This course contains a greater focus on the use of manipulatives in the classroom, pictorial and abstract representations to promote deeper learning, language support to help EAL students develop fluency in mathematical language. Week of 14/10/24 - Angles in Triangles and Quadrilaterals Week of 21/10/24 - Circles Week of 28/10/24 - Drawing Shapes Week of 4/11/24 - Drawing Nets Week of 11/11/24 - Polygons on Coordinate Grids Week of 18/11/24 - Translations, Reflections and Movements Week of 25/11/24 - Area Week of 2/12/24 - Area of Polygons Week of 9/12/24 - Volume of Cuboids and Solids Week of 16/12/24 - Opposite Angles Further classes will be added.
