The structure of the lesson is based on ACTFL's learning goals. Students will learn dialogs, vocabularies, sentence pattern, songs, rhymes, and games. Learners have options to utilizes both Bopomofo and Pinyin, simplified characters and also traditional characters. Students will learn topics related to school and studies, family and society, number and lifestyle, food and culture, climate and environment, festivals and customs, body and health, hobbies and leisure activities, geography and international outlook, history and humanities, tourism and transportation, and technology and innovation. There are 3 Advance levels: Advance 1, Advance 2, and Advance 3. Each Advance level has 12 lessons plus 2 additional review lessons for a total of 14 lessons. Intermediate 1 lessons are: Advance 1 lessons: Lesson 1: My dream Lesson 2: Questions from the New Student Lesson 3: Numbers and Idioms Lesson 4: Natural Disasters Lesson 5: Dragon Boat Festival Lesson 6: Meaningful Things Lesson 7: Sports Injuries Lesson 8: Television Programs Lesson 9: Famous Structures of the World Lesson 10: An Unforgettable Trip, Lesson 11: Comics and Animation Lesson 12: Travel and Leisure. Pronunciation is one of the key ingredients when learning a foreign language. I will help students to correctly pronounce tones and provide a structured approach to learning Mandarin Chinese. Learning a foreign language is challenging but I will help you to reach your goal. Students are encouraged to ask questions in class.
