This course is designed for learners to be able to immediately use what they have learned and apply it in their daily life. We will focus on practical conversation. Students will learn: 1. Real hands-on learning experience: Students have the opportunity to use what they learn to create their own sentences while having conversations with their classmates. 2. Learn practical daily life conversation and say them in the correct way and with cultural context. 3. Play games to help students remember what they have learned. 4. Opportunity to explore vocabularies, writing, and Chinese character recognition. 5. Learn from a native speaker with proper Mandarin tones and with a neutral Mandarin accent. 6. Learners have options to utilize both Bopomofo and Pinyin, simplified characters and also traditional character Each lesson: We review previous lesson(s) and play games, and learn new topic each time. Learners have many opportunities to practice what they have learned in the class with the native speaker (me) and practice with their classmates. Pronunciation is one of the key ingredients when learning a foreign language. I will help students to correctly pronounce tones and provide a structured approach to learning Mandarin Chinese. Students are encouraged to play games utilizing the materials I send to them after each lesson. This way, students will be able to remember what they learned instead of just bringing home a bunch of paper. We will focus on topic 1-6 for this course. Learners will learn how to ask question(s), how to answer each topic. 1. Hello, how to introduce yourself and great to others. 2. Learn to use "how many", quantifiers/measure words for family members, and numbers 1-5. 3. Number 6-10, how to ask "how many", replying and explaining questions. 4. Breakfast, eat, drink. 5. How to use like, dislike, very to express yourself and seasons. 6. How to say month, date and birthday. Review 7. How to invite people to do something together with you. Learn about basic body part. 8. How to ask your friends what do they do after school/class. Habits, sport activities. 9. Learn how to ask and respond to "where/location". Learn basic furniture. 10. Family members and how to use "who". 11. Transportation. How to get to ... 12. Phone call, how to ask for someone in a polite way. Review
