Join Aunt Sam for some one-on-one instruction. As a Homeschooling mom, I've taught the 3 "R's" for over 20 years. I take time with phonetics, I slow down to encourage proper penmanship and I use manipulatives to teach math concepts.

Depending on the learner, assessment will vary. My preference is simple oral evaluation during the class, as I encourage the learner to teach me back the concept covered. But I am flexible, and work with all learning styles.Class Experience

The elementary years are key to allow your child to flourish educationally. Will they love Reading? Writing? Arithmetic? Sometimes extra attention, praise and guidance is needed for that excitement to grow.
To allow our tutoring experience to be engaging, please provide the following
1. Information about the specific concept to cover, for example:
Reading Examples: Fluency, decoding, comprehension
Writing Examples: Brainstorming, sentence structure, penmanship
Math Examples: Addition, problem-solving, measurement
2. Your Learner's preferred Learning Style? Is your child a visual, audio or tactile Learner?
3.Your Learner's interests; ponies, sports, Minecraft?
With your specified support, I will provide personalized, engaging instruction that will enable your child to progress through our weeks together. I am able to help with homework, focus on a specific difficulty, or create a game covering a concept. Just remember, I think learning is FUN!

Presentation of concept learned or liked (This could be simply reading a favorite book, presenting a picture drawn of a concept, playing a math game or showing written work, ANYTHING that shows learning during our time together!)
