Class Experience

In this 25 minute class, students will be introduced to the basic concepts of telling time on an analog clock-face. In this introductory lesson, we will talk about how to read a clock-face (clockwise) direction, how to identify the short-hand and the long-hand of the clock, how to count by 5s around the clock, and even learn a catchy song to help remember how to read an analog clock! We will also use a canva slide presentation and an engaging clock game.

**Kids should be able to count and identify numbers from 1 to 12 before enrolling in this class.**

Parental Guidance
For certain portions of the class, I made need to mute the students in order for them to hear the songs we will be singing together clearly. I will ask them to unmute whenever the singing portion is done! Also, if students are being disruptive please know that I will mute them at my discretion to keep a good learning environment for all the other learners as well. However, I will still give kids who have a harder time being quiet opportunities to unmute and participate in the class as well.
Supply List
Learners may bring their own analog clock to class if they'd like, but it is completely optional.

What parents say about my classes:

"Wonderful class! My usually shy and quiet daughter loved the class and felt encouraged by Ms. Anneliese's feedback. She is excited to learn that she will continue on with the next series of classes."

"My 5 year old daughter loved the class, she was engaged the while time. She was happy singing and learning. She connected very well with the teacher. This was her first outschool class, she will be doing some more."

"We love this class! It was my son’s first exposure to reading time and he learned so much in a short amount of time. We are so grateful also that the teacher did not cancel the class even if it was only my son who enrolled in the time slot we picked."

I teach to every student's personality in my classes, regardless of their learning ability.

**Baby arriving in early 2023 - baby may be sighted in classes!**
