Class Experience

In our two week course, we are going to spend 45 min each to learn how to paint lips on procreate. 
I recommend students to have a prior basic knowledge of using procreate app, and also have experience in realistic paintings before taking this class. (ex: still life paintings)

For our week one, we are going to learn how to sketch lips.
Once the sketch is ready, we will go straight into painting. We will cover working with layers, blending, and clipping mask tool.
For our week two, we are going to continue painting the lips.
If student is having a trouble during sessions, the teacher will guide them individually.
At the end of our each session, we will take turns to  share what everyone created.

Students will learn:
*How to sketch lips
*How to color and blend realistically
*How to use clipping mask

My name is Anna and I’m the founder of Oh, Artiz. I’m an art instructor by day and an illustrator by night.
 
My journey has been a long, but gratifying one. I created Prism Art School back in 2016 with the hopes of fostering a creative community for young artists in Los Angeles. Prism Art School won a variety of different regional, national, and even international art competitions! Some of the accolades and outlets to recognize Prism Art School include: Doodle for Google, International Ocean Awareness, Scholastic Arts, NASA, Toyota, LA Times & DWP, and many other art contests.
 
However, due to the unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic, we had no choice but to close down our physical locations as per California law.
 
However, when life gives me lemons, I try to “create” a fun batch of lemonade! Since then, I have been teaching art using ‘Outschool’ which is a digital platform and virtual learning online school based in San Francisco.
 
It has been such a gratifying experience for me to have personally [albeit virtually] met so many of the very talented, young, artists from all over North America. Some have even been from parts of Europe and Asia! I’ve learned that with a dedicated instructor, virtual learning is not only just possible, but it has the capacity to deliver quality effectiveness in learning -- just as much or better than in person education.  
 
This realization sparked my passion for restoring the progress of the community of Prism Art School. This time, virtually and with a brand-new name: “Oh, Artiz!”
