We will be meeting twice a week for 6 weeks in order to practice our speaking skills and enhance our Greek vocabularies. The material will be posted after each class and you can view it during the week at your convenience. Each week for 6 weeks students will be guided through a variety of vocabulary and role-play activities. This class is to get students familiar with speaking Greek, listening to Greek, and recognizing Greek words! We will practice the vocabulary for things that are in their world so that they are able to relate to their learning while they practice! Students will learn basic vocabulary including conversation starters, describing things they like to do, and talking about their interests. During each class we will go through slides about topics such as going to the playground, visiting an aquarium, going to the pool, and so on. We will practice describing the topic in Greek, answer questions in full sentences, and have time to practice asking the teacher about the topic too. The goal of each lesson is to get students to practice the vocabulary about the topics, answer using the sentence frames, and be able to ask questions about the topic too. Each slide deck will have the goal vocabulary listed on the third page along with the sentence frames that are to be practiced during the lesson. We want to get our young learners practicing Greek and speaking as much as possible! Happy Learning!
