Where in the world is Barnabas Bear? Come and join us on an adventure as we explore the adventures of Barnabas. In this Ongoing Class, learners will explore places around the world in a fun and interactive way. This course aims to provide meaningful learning experiences for young explorers. We will use pretend play and learners are encouraged to bring their toys along, make passports for themselves and their toys and collect the passport stamps from each class. What will each class involve? Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, videos and much more. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs. In each class, we will learn about where Barnabas has visited. Classes may include: drawing the flag of the country, drawing some famous buildings or foods from the country, learning some facts related to the place. Each class will involve educational content such as information about the weather, history and much more. What is taught in this course? Please note, this course can be taken in additional to the Ongoing Geography and Science classes we offer. There is no overlap between the courses. This course is listed for 4-7 year olds which is KS1 in the UK. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. The class will be interactive and supportive to cater to learners of different learning styles. We are a team of experienced teachers who are calm, patient and supportive whilst ensuring that the children are constantly learning. The environment will be dynamic and learners will actively participate throughout the class. As experienced teachers, we are capable of adapting our style to suit the learners. Please do message us with any additional needs the students may have such as difficulties with Communication and interaction; Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN); difficulties with Cognition and learning; Social, emotional and mental health difficulties; Sensory and/or physical needs. Supply List
Learners will need paper, pen, pencil and crayons for each class. Classes may require things to be cut out before the class and for learners to bring glue to class with them. The required materials will be posted to the classroom. Please print out or download the relevant handouts in advance of each class. These will be uploaded to the 'Classroom' by the end of Sunday each week. Learners are also encouraged to bring their own stuffed toy to class with them.
