Description

Class Experience

In this fun one-time 85 minute drawing class, students will learn the basics of calligraphy, and how we can create the calligraphy look by drawing along with the teacher.  Faux calligraphy literally translates into “fake” calligraphy, so no calligraphy writing tools will be used.

We will start with looking at some examples of calligraphy to identify what makes it different from regular writing.  We will then practice adding shading to different shapes and learn some tips to make it look...

Paper
Writing utensil (pencil, pen, marker, etc.)
Ruler (optional)
**note: calligraphy brushes or pens are NOT needed for this class.  We will be learning to create a calligraphy look with regular writing utensils.

1 hour 25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
