In this ongoing course, A2 learners will discover the joy of learning English through stories, songs, speaking and listening, games and much more. Classes include activity sheets to complete during and after class. What will I learn? Week of 16/9/24 - Cats and Birds Week of 23/9/24 - How Do Things Change? Week of 30/9/24 - What Is Our World Made Of? Week of 7/10/24 - Let's Make Ice Cream Week of 14/10/24 - Food and Drink Week of 21/10/24 - How Are Things Different From Long Ago? Week of 28/10/24 - Then and Now Week of 4/11/24 - Travel Week of 11/11/24 - Tell Me A Story Week of 18/11/24 - Amazing Animals Week of 25/11/24 - We Love Animals Week of 2/12/24 - Leo and Lily's Adventure Further topics will be added. How is your class structured? 1. Each class will start with a fun warmer to enable students to feel relaxed. 2. Teacher will provide input and model key vocabulary. 3. Learners will practise through various activities. 4. Learners will recap what is learnt through an open-ended activity to allow learners to complete it at their level. How will you teach? Our teaching style is dynamic and engaging. The class will be interactive and supportive of all needs. Students will all get the opportunity to participate and complete their own tasks. The class will include a range of teaching methods including questions and answers; individual, paired and group activities; games and quizzes. Learners are encouraged to draw something related to the conversation topic to share at the end of each class. What's your teaching style? We are a team of experienced teacher who are calm, patient and supportive whilst ensuring that the children are constantly learning. The environment will be dynamic and learners will actively participate throughout the class. As a team of experienced teachers, we are capable of adapting my style to suit the learners. How much will learners get to interact with you and each other? Students will be active participants throughout each class. Student talk time is expected to be significantly higher than teacher talk time. Any required experience or knowledge learners need? Learners will be expected to be beginners of English. Learners should be at A2 level, meaning they are beginners of English. If you are unsure what level your learner is at, please take the CEFR Assessment first. Please bring some paper and a pencil to class each week. There will also be an activity sheet posted to the classroom by the end of Sunday each week.
