Week of 30/9/24 - Silent letters

Our Spelling Bee Rules
πŸ”ΉA Spelling Bee is normally a knock-out competition. We want learners to participate throughout the class so no-one will be knocked out in our class.
πŸ”ΉClasses will contain practice of the words initially before the spelling bee element.
πŸ”ΉA list of the words for the week will be shared to the classroom at 7pm PST on Sundays each week. Learners are encouraged to practise the words and be familiar with them.
πŸ”ΉDuring the spelling bee element of the class, the teacher will name the student, say the word for them to spell and then give them time to spell it. Don't rush! You have time to spell your word.
πŸ”ΉThere will be a challenge element of each class where words on the same theme are spelt but learners have not had time to practise these.
πŸ”ΉWe want all our classes to have a 'can do' atmosphere to them. So there will be a healthy amount of competition and challenge in these classes.

Please note this is Spelling Bee Club 1. We also offer the Spelling Bee Clubs at other levels. This is an ongoing course so learners can join at any points.

We look forward to being part of your learning journey.
