This class meets once a week for 25 minutes. Learners will be encouraged to speak to the teacher, in pairs and individually. Learners will at times repeat the teacher and at other times be encouraged to answer for themselves. There will be a balance between developing fluency as well as focusing on accuracy. How is your class structured? 1. Each class will start with a fun warmer to enable students to feel relaxed. 2. Teacher will provide input and model key vocabulary. 3. Learners will practise through various activities. 4. Learners will recap what is learnt through an open-ended activity to allow learners to complete it at their level. How will you teach? My teaching style is dynamic and engaging. The class will be interactive and supportive of all needs. Students will all get the opportunity to participate and complete their own tasks. The class will include a range of teaching methods including questions and answers; individual, paired and group activities; games and quizzes. Learners are encouraged to draw something related to the conversation topic to share at the end of each class. What's your teaching style? We are a team of experienced teachers who are calm, patient and supportive whilst ensuring that the children are constantly learning. The environment will be dynamic and learners will actively participate throughout the class. As experienced teachers, we are capable of adapting our style to suit the learners. How much will learners get to interact with the teacher and each other? Students will be active participants throughout each class. Student talk time is expected to be significantly higher than teacher talk time. Any required experience or knowledge learners need? Learners will be expected to be pre-intermediate learners of English. Learners should be at A2 level, meaning they are not true beginnings of English. Learners should know some vocabulary on a variety of common topics such as animals, colours, food and so on and be working on developing their answers to give fuller answers. In this class, learners will be prompted to use full sentences. It is a Discussion Club so learners will be encouraged to speak to both the teacher and other learners. Learners will be encouraged to greet one another and have simple conversations with other students. If learners are not yet ready to speak in full sentences, a Beginner A1 course may be more appropriate. Please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.
