This is an Ongoing private English Tutoring class that will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays for 30 minutes at 12:00pm PST. The lessons will be based around a theme that will change each month (Example: animals, family, school). Each individual lesson will have new vocabulary words based on the theme that month, grammar, verbs, phonics, reading skills, sentence frames, basic math (to learn numbers), and we will do this through an interactive slideshow. After class on Wednesdays, they will be...
Students will practice and improve their English reading, writing, and speaking skills. The goal at the end of the month is that they have a better understanding of the vocabulary and can use it in different ways. They will also continue to improve pronunciation and grammar skills.
Simple homework activities will be given after Wednesdays classes. These will not take long to complete and will act as a review for that weeks lessons. The homework will reviewed on the Mondays class the following week.
There are no formal tests, but the final class of the month will incorporate everything we learned this month and I will provide a written assessment for each learner explaining what they did well and where they can improve. This will help track their overall progress.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
