In this multi-day class, the students will be able to define the parts of speech (noun, action verb, adverb, and adjective) as well identify them in a sentence. Week 1- nouns Week 2 - action verbs Week 3 - adverbs Week 4- adjectives Week 5- review of week 1-4 The students will see a definition of the part of speech and draw pictures to match the part of speech. I have been teaching the parts of speech for several years in my brick and mortar classroom. There are lots of fun songs and pictures to create in order to help commit them to memory. Knowing the parts of speech help a student become a better writer as well.
Homework Offered
The homework is optional. I will give 10 words each week in the classroom to identify the part of speech. We will review it at the beginning of the next class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
