During this introductory course, students will learn how to sign the numbers 0-50 in ASL. As the teacher, I will guide the students through the numbers 0-50 by showing them the numbers (through flashcards), signing with them, then having them to sign back to me. I will wrap up the class by playing a review game. I will need to see the students in order to make sure that they've got the correct hand-formation. There are no required experience in ASL before coming to class. I can't wait to see you in class!

Welcome! I'm Mrs. Kim, and I'm thrilled to have you here. With a decade of experience in the educational field and holding degrees in both Elementary Education and Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom.
I offer Circle Time through a comprehensive curriculum tailored to meet a variety of needs—be it a single session, ongoing classes, or self-paced learning opportunities.
My primary objective is to prepare your child for Kindergarten, focusing on essential skills such as prediction, recall, sorting, understanding numbers, measurement, recognizing shapes, and mastering the alphabet. Additionally, I integrate American Sign Language (ASL) into each lesson, enriching your child's learning experience with exposure to ASL and thereby broadening their communicative abilities.
The curriculum is designed to introduce a broad range of topics, enhancing your child's background knowledge. This approach allows students to connect new information with their existing knowledge base, facilitating a deeper understanding and retention of new concepts.
Outside the classroom, I cherish time spent with my family, exploring the wonders of nature, traveling, and embarking on new adventures.
