Let’s Learn About Nouns!

Come join me for an introductory look at nouns! 

Our class will begin with a welcome session followed by an introduction to the class rules. Then we will dive into learning the definition of a noun: “A noun is the name of a person, place, or thing.” After practicing the definition as a class, we will venture into more fun aspects as we break down this definition into smaller sections. 

We will consider what we already know about nouns as we focus individually on nouns as names of people, places, and things. We will look at images that relate to the world around us, and begin to identify that nouns are everywhere! 

Learners can interact in class by raising their hands and sharing what they already know, and what they are learning in class, regarding the names of people, places, and things in their environments. Our lesson will include images and interactive activities to help generate discussion and engagement as we identify nouns.

No prior experience is required. This is an introductory course. I plan to build on this topic by offering future English courses designed for this age range.
