Class Experience

This course will introduce basic music concepts that are foundational for all music learning! For students wanting to or are already studying piano, violin, voice, cello, drums, band instruments, or any other musical instrument - this class is the perfect fit!

For this class we will:
- Introduce ourselves
- Sing a welcome song
- Learn about quarter notes, half notes, and whole notes from a canva slide presentation
- Practice implementing their new rhythm knowledge with their instruments (or on a hard surface, no instrument required!)
- Learn about the difference between high and low sounds, and what animals make those sounds!
- If time allows, we will watch a short video that demonstrates high and low sounds, too!

For this age group, learning musical concepts during short periods of time (25 minutes) is a perfect length of time to keep them engaged with the subject while also having fun!

**Students do not need any background in music or access to musical instruments in order to attend this class.**

***Students will need to know how to unmute themselves for this class, so younger students may need to have an adult or older sibling on hand to assist them when necessary****

What parents say about my classes:

"Wonderful class! My usually shy and quiet daughter loved the class and felt encouraged by Ms. Anneliese's feedback. She is excited to learn that she will continue on with the next series of classes."

"My 5 year old daughter loved the class, she was engaged the while time. She was happy singing and learning. She connected very well with the teacher. This was her first outschool class, she will be doing some more."

"We love this class! It was my son’s first exposure to reading time and he learned so much in a short amount of time. We are so grateful also that the teacher did not cancel the class even if it was only my son who enrolled in the time slot we picked."

I teach to every student's personality in my classes, regardless of their learning ability.
