In this one time engaging class, students will learn the difference between earning, spending and saving money. We will discuss • What we know about money • What it means to EARN money • How adults EARN money, how students can earn money • The difference between saving and spending • Each student will set a goal to save up for something on a worksheet provided Activities • We will play a game to test our knowledge about money Students will interact with the teacher and each other through...
The basics of earning, spending and saving money. The building blocks needed to start to build a good foundation for strong financial principals.
Goal setting worksheet. This will not be homework but an opportunity for parents and students to work together on creating goals for things the student may want to save up for and ways they can earn money to do so.
Printer, paper and the students piggy bank/wallet (if they have one)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Goal worksheet and game paddles print outs will be provided and should be printed out prior to class.
