In this one-time class students will get to participate in circle time and learn through song, play, pictures and more about animals that hibernate. They will also make a fun craft having to do with our theme.

Description
Class Experience
We will start our class with circle time (calendar, weather, show and tell, and question of the day), next we will have a fun mini-lesson about hibernation. We then will sing a song, make a craft, play a game, and learn a fun poem, all that go along with our theme. No prior knowledge is needed. My hope is that each child is involved in a way that they feel comfortable, whether that's being involved vocally with information to share or just watching, singing, and playing along with us. No homework
•Item for show and tell (optional) •Materials for the craft: -styrofoam cup -tan moss (or brown paper shreds) -2-4 inch cardboard tube -Marker/crayons -White tissue paper (10-20 small squares) (Note to parent/caregiver: We will be making a hibernating bear craft :). I try to keep the materials needed for my classes simple and things that are commonly found at home. If you don't have these items please feel free to adapt and use similar items you have on hand. You can also usually buy the items listed for under or around a dollar each)
Informal assessment. Let me know if you would like to know how your child did during class.
