Join Miss Mackenzie in learning about helpers in our community through slideshows, activities, and pretend play! Each week, learners will learn about a new community helper. Each lesson will have an interactive slideshow in which learners will be encouraged to participate, answer questions, take turns, and complete the activities. Learners will also have a lot of opportunities to talk and answer questions regarding each community helper! Each class will end with an activity that the learners can complete and share with each other. Learners are more than welcome to bring any toys to class that relate to that lesson! Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Science from Indiana University
Hi friends! My name is Miss Mackenzie. Welcome to my profile!
The classes that I love to teach are social studies, geography, and circle time for young learners!
I graduated from Indiana University in 2019 with my bachelors degree in Allied Health Sciences. I worked as an ABA Therapist/Registered Behavior Technician for over 3 years. I worked primarily with elementary aged kiddos on the autism spectrum! I have been teaching online since 2021 and love every minute of it.
My teaching philosophy includes setting my learners up for success, as well as having fun in the classroom! I like to utilize games, activities, and art. I want each student to succeed and feel safe when I am their teacher! I truly believe that learners learn best when they are having fun. This is why each of my classes feature some sort of drawing or sharing activity.
I absolutely love being a mom and spending time with family! I have a three year old daughter, a one year old daughter, and a fur baby (a four year old silver Labrador Retriever.) I'm from the Midwest and I love camping, boating, and pretty much anything outdoors!
