I will host this class from an actual zoo. Each week a specific animal will be highlighted. I will provide parents with resources such as coloring book pages or activities that they can download before class. These are optional and can be done during or after class. I will present some information about the animal of the week as we observe the animal. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the other students and teacher with comments. With extra time, we will...
Students will be introduced to live animals. Students will be given animal facts. Students will be given the opportunity to observe animals in their zoo habitat. Students will have the opportunity to interact with peers and discuss animals. Students will have the opportunity to listen respectfully to the teacher and their peers.
A handout will be provided to color or fill out. (Optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The teacher will assess students informally based on participation and interaction with peers.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
