US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this one time course, I will taking the children on an adventure to learn all about a platypus! We will learn where they live, what they eat, about their young, their characteristics and so much more. This lesson will be carried through over a PowerPoint, group discussion, and a craft! At the end of class, students will create an open ended art project of a platypus! This is a wonderful activity for them to use their imagination to draw what they learned and what they think a platypus looks like. I will show a sample of a drawing and help guide them through it if they would like. The platypus is not only cute, it is super interesting as well! Have your children join me to find out why they are so interesting!

Hello everyone! My name is Ashley, I live in the United States, throughout the last 12 years I have been a preschool teacher, after-school program director and a general manager. I built my way up in the same company and have worn many hats. I have in depth experience working with children of all ages. In 2011, I received my bachelors degree in human development and Human Resources with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. More recently, since 2020, I have been teaching on Outschool. This has been my favorite position yet!! What I love about education and teaching children is the connection that I am able to form with them. I want children to feel comfortable and have fun learning. Aside from teaching, I have two children of my very own who I homeschool.
